GIORGIO CHIESI – 50 YEARS OF PAINTING
THE PATH OF AN ICONOCLAST
The great anthological exhibition of the artist Giorgio Chiesi opens on Saturday 25th June at 5.00 pm at the Torre delle Arti exhibition center.
On the wall the most significant works of the last fifty years of Chiesi’s painting activity, which will be exhibited until 18th July.
Exhibition opening hours:
Monday to Thursday from 10.30am to 1.30pm and from 2.30pm to 5.30pm. From Friday to Sunday also opening in the evening from 8pm to 10pm
An artist of Reggio origin (he was born in Felina), Chiesi spent his artistic youth in Milan where from the late 1970s he was part of the Milanese and Italian artistic elite.
Friend of Gianfranco Ferroni, Giuseppe Migneco, Ibrahim Kodra, he had the opportunity in particular to know and associate with all the artists orbiting in Milan, such as Gianni Dova, Aligi Sassu, Ennio Morlotti, Bruno Cassinari, Ernesto Treccani. Then also those who referred to Florence, such as Antonio Bueno and Vinicio Berti, or to Rome as Renzo Vespignani, Ennio Calabria, Franco Mulas and Jose Ortega.
