THE HISTORY
In an antique tower-shaped house properly fitted out for the purpose, you find on exhibition more than two hundred precious objects, which have allowed mankind in past centuries to orient himself on the seas and to sail toward new worlds.
Among the most interesting instruments in this private collection are to be found XVIII century telescopes made in Venice, compasses and solar clocks of various periods together with a rich collection of marine chronometers, an armillary sphere and a stupendous planetarium in brass.

The Museum is open everyday except Monday from 10am to 1pm
In the afternoon on appointment.

HOW TO REACH THE MUSEUM
The museum is located in the characteristic hamlet of San Giovanni and can be reached by boat (San Giovanni stop), on foot from the center of Bellagio (about 30 minutes) by bus or with the tourist train.
